Since last year, a CCNU Board member has been sounding the alarm to City Council during public comment about the need for Planning Commission and Zoning Hearing Board meetings to be recorded due a multitude of ethics violations, abuses of discretion, and errors of law being committed by both Boards. Those efforts have finally paid off, as City Council has proposed a change in ordinance requiring that all meetings of the Planning Commission and Zoning Hearing Board be video recorded and posted to the City's website and YouTube channel. The amendment is expected to pass with full support by Council at the next Legislative Session scheduled for April 12, 2022.
